organization. Adding IT general controls and security systems was the first task
accomplished, followed quickly by a data warehouse and enterprise reporting.
• Led the IT team through a successful IPO in 2007. Now listed on NYSE as LL.
• Redesigned the networking and reporting infrastructure to enable rapid
growth.
• Created a standard “store-in-a-box” solution used to open new locations
within 48 hours. Using this solution, opened 30-40 new locations per year.
• Implemented a companywide phone and data network increasing capacity by
50x, reduced annual costs by $360k with a seven month ROI.
• Converted to an onsite data center, with zero down time and an annual cost
reduction of $211k.
• Migrated all web sites to a new service provider and brought web
development internal, saving $500K annually and improving service levels.
Responsible for all systems with the exception of the AS400 work group. Lead the team
charged with the software development of a custom POS system used at every location.
• Rebuilt the POS software system from the ground up, using newer, faster, and
more reliable technologies.
